About LensFayre

Launched in early 2020, LensFayre was born of a desire to reconnect with all the things that made us fall in love with the analogue photography process. After many years of working freelance within photographic and creative industries, we decided to turn our knowledge and expertise to the full-time restoration and sale of classic cameras!

But that’s not all that we’re about - LensFayre is much more than just another film camera store. We’re actively creating a community platform where accessibility, inclusivity and diverse representation is at the core of what we do - and we can’t wait to share what we have planned! ⁣⁣⁣

Meet The Team 👋

I’m London born and Nottingham raised with Jamaican roots. From around age 5 I recall being inseparable from my bright purple Vivitar Point ‘N Shoot 110 camera. I carried it with me everywhere.

At age 9, a Jamaican family friend and hobbyist photographer gifted me with a Miranda SLR. He loaded it with roll of 200 ISO Fujifilm, set the aperture to f/16, the shutter speed to 1/200 and told me to rotate the lens until “everyting set good!” And that was it, my first ‘proper camera.’ I shot every single photo on those exact settings (rain or shine) for the next 7 years, until at 16 my A-level photography tutor taught me otherwise!
⁣⁣⁣
Career-wise my CV probably reads like I suffer from vocational ADHD! But the one thing that’s always remained is a desire to create and be surrounded by creativity. Over the years I’ve grown to develop and refine my skills in storytelling through self-taught graphic design, photo/video editing and production.

I've freelanced here and there, working on music videos, indie films and a spot of Logo design. A lot my creative expression can now be found across LensFayre's online presence.

I’m a Londoner currently living in Nottingham. I’m not normally one to big myself up, but for the purposes of this intro I’ll blow my own trumpet briefly…

As a travel and documentary photographer, I’ve been fairly well published, exhibited and awarded; with over 15 years experience in working with international publications like TIME Magazine, National Geographic, The Sunday Times Magazine, The New York Times, CNN, VICE, Wired and a bunch of others.⁣ ⁣

I was lucky enough to fall in love with photography at a time when film was the only option and this is part of the reason why I enjoy restoring old cameras and giving them back their purpose.

In recent years, I have become more reliant on digital photography for my practice, so LensFayre is a way for me to reconnect with the version of myself that always got ridiculously excited after shooting a roll of film in anticipation for what was on it! LensFayre is a platform to facilitate and nurture those experiences in other analogue photography enthusiasts.
